We are looking to add fun, motivated, and creative scientists to our growing team. Our lab is highly interdisciplinary and we welcome scientists of all backgrounds who are interested in working at the interface of experiment and computation to tackle major questions in RNA biology. Projects span from almost entirely experimental to entirely computational (and anywhere in between), and we support training in new areas (i.e. wet-lab biologist who wants to learn dry-lab skills, and vice-versa).

Houston is a large cosmopolitan city, offering low cost of living and world-class restaurants, museums, and entertainment, making it a fantastic place to live and work. We are located in the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest biomedical complex. Our lab’s home departments of THINC and the Departments of Biochemistry and Genetics provide a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative training environment. Postdocs: We are looking for postdocs to lead multiple funded projects in the lab. Ideal candidates should have a PhD in biochemistry, bioinformatics, genetics, cell biology, or a related field.
